Another week

Today is the start of another week. I am now 15 weeks pregnant. I am not feeling all of the goodness that comes with the second trimester yet. But I am so focused on Kya that it doesn't matter! She is getting places now, in only a matter of days. She has discovered how to get around and isnot crawling by the traditional sense of the word, but she can still move! She is eager to discover so much more now. She is no longer content to just sit in your lap. It's sad to see one stage end, but a joy to see another start!! I have a feeling Christmas is going to be wild!!
To change the subject rather quickly, Alicia completed sewing the ragtime quilt that I wanted made and then I spent Saturday night and a little of Sunday cutting the fringe on the seams. After cutting the fabric, creating the "layout" of the squares and cutting the fringe, I feel so proud of it! I admire Alicia and all the work that she does to create these quilts. And I can only imagine the pride she must feel after each one. She is so talented and creative! She as a small business making these ragtime quilts and I hope it takes off, because they are so cute! I think my next project will be to learn how to sew. I have always wanted to learn. Both my mom and step-mom know how and I have always admired that. I think it is a lost tradition on todays young women. I love love love this blanket. So much so that I think I am going to keep it instead of give it away! I just can't bear to part with it! Soon, I will download a picture for you all.
Today, i believe it is off to Babies'r Us to get a security gate to corral Kya. They are pretty inexpensive for what you get. We'll see.
