No Need For The Sunday Paper (The Late Edition)

I am ready to be back in the land of the living and have already begun to get back into the family routine. I recently began working as an assistant preschool teacher at my kid's preschool and when I went back to work today, a few of my fellow co-workers said bladder/kidney infections are among the most common illnesses - because teachers can't leave the room to use the bathroom! They all assured me they had "been there". It was a little comforting to know I wasn't alone in having this happen!

So how was MTM??? It looks like all your tins were wonderful! Who knew there were so many blue and purple foods out there and like one of you said...seems a little peculiar that there aren't any naturally flavored/colored blue foods! Next week we are taking a break from themes (whew!) and just bringing your regular meals in a tin(or whatever theme you want to do yourself!).

So on to this weeks links (as promised!):

Mom's Marbles: Icicle Painting. Wish I lived in a cold climate to do this one! (Although I guess I could break out the ice cubes, but icicles just sound like more fun!).

No Time For Flashcards: Playing Grocery Store This seems like an old stand-by, but it's such a great boredom buster. I need break this one out!

Organize with Sandy: A new-to-me blog that I am loving. I think Sandy will be helping me with my new year's resolutions!

Confessions of a Mommy Blogger: She is a reader of mine that has a saved my after bathtime hair issues with my little girl with her homemade detangler. It's easier than you think!

And here is some great scripture to ponder as how it applies to Godly humility:

Romans 12:9-16

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

  2. Someone needs to find a way for teachers to get bathroom breaks - that was my pet peeve when I was taught school. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, and thanks for sharing these ideas. We have icicles all around our house, so it's a good time to try icicle painting!
