Pot O' Gold Snack

Treat your little "leprochauns" to this "Pot O' Gold" ice cream treat! Super simple and super "yummy-licious".

What's in it?:
- 1 to 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- Banana circles (we scratched this after we discovered we had a bad batch o' "nanas")
- Yellow Sprinkles
-Honey or yellow colored syrup
(truth is, you can create this with any yellow treat! I'd love to see what you come up with!)

Directions:
1. Scoop ice cream into cup
2. Cut bananas into slices, add to ice cream
3. Add sprinkles and/or honey
4. Enjoy!

To make this a learning activity:

~try making cards with pictures of each step (i.e. 1. scoop ice cream into cup, 2. add banana circles, etc.) See if your kids can get them in order!

~After you have made the picture cards (and have them in order), see if your child can tell you how to make the treat, what steps come next, etc.

  1. This is so cute! You do some of the cutest stuff! Once I saw a St. Patty's Day snack that was rainbow layered in a clear cup. I think it was made from fruit. It was cute!

By the way- I did my first Muffin Tin Monday! Are you proud of me? I did the orange one, but I was confused about the days and forgot to post it. So I'll post it for next weeks "no theme". I can post an orange one for no theme, right?

Also, I just found your superhero people you painted. SO CUTE! You should make a little Masked Mommy ;-)

  3. Mmmm...this looks yummy. What if you tried a variation with vanilla or banana pudding? I like your idea with making step by step cards. You're always so good at adapting to letting your kids help you!

  5. I've got this in our March 15th post, thanks for sharing. I'm planning on snagging that cute chick craft you posted today too. Don't know if I'll put it in our color yellow post or an Easter one. Too cute either way.
