No Need For The Sunday Paper

Welcome to another edition of No Need For The Sunday Paper!

I love browsing the web for great ideas, tips, and tricks to try at home, here are a few of the sweet things I found this week:

1+1=1: Tools For Tots: Use water and soda bottle tops to help kids learn to spell their names (and other words!). Insanely clever and easy to implement!

Scrapbook.com: 101 Giftbasket ideas. I have read through this a few times and I love all the ideas! There's something in it for every person on your list! Perfect for anytime you need to throw together a thoughtfula nd creative gift-but need a little jumpstart for ideas!

Organizing Junkie's Flickr Pool: French Memo Board Jewelry Organizer. Where we live, I can't hang anything on the walls (don't ask...), so when we move, I am sooo doing this!

Who needs the Sunday Paper, when you have the word of God!
Here's a verse from the Bible to meditate on this week:
1 Corinthians 2:6-13
6We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"
10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

  1. Hi Michelle

As usual, a great read. The gift basket list has well and truly covered everyone. There's bound to be an idea on there for that person who you think has everything. I liked some of the presentation suggestions. The sky is the limit when it comes to creating a personalised little something for the special people in your life.

I had seen Carisa's bottle top idea and love it. What child wouldn't love this? It's hands on and so simple to make. Gotta love that. Carisa is so clever for coming up with that.

Necessity is the mother of invention and that jewellery board organiser would make life easy as you can see exactly what you've got in an instant.

Thank you for sharing your finds.

    Elise

  2. I can't really hang anything up where I live, either. So I'll just have to file that idea away for a few years down the line! I am organizing a notebook/binder with all sorts of ideas for crafts and activities that I can't do right now but would love to try out in the future.
