Muffin Tin Monday

Muffin Tin Monday is a weekly blog carnival (held here at Her Cup Overfloweth), where we post about a Muffin Tin Meal we made for our kid(s). Sometimes there is a theme. Sometimes, there isn't (see my sidebar for dates and themes). What's a Muffin Tin Meal, you ask? It's pretty simple: a meal (most often for kids) in a muffin tin! And just to be clear: There is no wrong way to make a muffin tin meal. If you want to know a little more, be sure to check out the Muffin Tin Monday FAQ.
There is no theme this week! Here's what we did:

I have started using the 12 cup muffin tin lately for muffin tin meals. The kids don't mind sharing a tin together (go figure). I used the flower cups and designated a color for each kidlet. We had:

orange slices, banana slces on party picks, carrot sticks, sun chips, choc. chips, star shaped cheese slices, turkey on party picks.

The small portions and wide variety made this meal in a muffin tin a huge hit. Everything was gone!

Did you make a Muffin Tin Meal this week? Won't you share it with us? Be sure to include the URL of the blog post or photo in the form below!

  2. Oh Darn It!! I TOTALLY intended to participate this week... really I did... but I seem to have made it to 7.38pm on Monday evening without once throughout the day even realising that it was, infact, Monday... ;)

Next week then! Looks great btw!

  4. OK, I'm confused. When do you do your MTM? On Sunday? I'm amazed that you already have your pictures up!

I'm participating today, as is my blog partner, but we won't have our pictures up until later!

    Thanks!

  9. This is our very first MTM! Thanks for such an awesome idea - my kids LOVED it! Now, if I can just find those cool silicone liners somewhere...off to Google & find some!

  11. Geez, I've made a mess of MckLinky!! I linked up but linked it back to YOUR post. Ha! That's what happens when a two year old is shouting in your ear, "My nose is running out!" Runny noses are no fun.

So, now The Shafer Family is linked on there twice. Not sure how to take off the first link...? So, so sorry!!! :(

  12. Love the flower liner idea to differentiate the 2 kids. I don't think my kids would mind sharing either. Austin usually doesn't eat enough lunch to have his own tin.

Can you believe I'm actually joining in today!! It's been months...and months...and months! Hopefully I'll be a regular again. ;)

  17. I am late getting in on this today, but we did it! Phew!

I made a "what I love about MTM" list! Guess what? I found lots of reasons! :-)

I too like that the portions are small, so we have a greater variety of foods to offer. I love trying to get in foods from all food groups!

  18. How exciting to have so many first-time-MTM participants this week! It's an addiction!

In answer to your question about the cherries, I sometimes cut them in 1/2 and remove the pits, but sometimes she wants to bite into them herself. She actually likes *spitting* them out. :)
