No Need For The Sunday Paper

It's almost here friends...that Day of Days - Christmas! I am behind in shopping with 5 days to go. I will make it, I have no doubt! How are you doing with it all? Taking time to enjoy the fellowship, fun, and feasting? Taking time to remember that most special of moments, the day God sent His son to earth to take away the sins of the world?

While you are blog hopping today, why not check out a few of the links I have found this week? After all, who needs the Sunday Paper when you have links like these?

Check out this Snowman Button Mosaic by Flipflops and Applesauce. And while you are there be sure to check out her popsicle stick christmas gift tags.

Spend some time today browsing over The Crafty Crow's 40 Gifts Parents Can Make Their Kids: Inspiration abounds in this post...The wheels are already churning on what I can whip up or how we can make i together!

If you think I am going to print out these paper dolls from kireei.com to put in my daughter's stocking this year you are so right! (Found via One Pretty Thing )

I am in love with this(photo above) nest egg ornament from No Time For Flashcards. Maybe I have time to squeeze in more crafts before Christmas!

Have a wonderful Sunday, and I'll see you back here tomorrow for Muffin tin Monday!

Scripture For Sunday
There are some gems in here friends, even if you don't believe in God, we all know how words can hurt...

James 1:19-20
19My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

(Emphasis mine.)

James 3:1-12
1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water

James 3:17-18
17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
