What is it about Legos? They are tiny little building blocks that stir the imagination and enable
My earliest memory of Legos comes from when I was around 7 or 8. I went to visit a friend down the street and I remember walking in to their "bonus room" upstairs to see almost an entire city built up and out. And there were piles left over. I was in awe! I remember getting down on my hands and knees and studying what had been built and loving what I saw. I thought to myself how wonderful it would be to create virtually whatever your mind could think of.
I recently pulled out a box of 20 year old Legos that my husband had played with then he was my son's age. I sat there, marveling at a moment, twenty years in the making. And now that I have children, I get to experience Legos through their eyes and watch as they build and explore their sense of creativity and accomplishment. I get to build with them. I get to be a part of it.
If you spend any time looking behind the Lego "brand", you will find a company and product that promotes imagination, play, family, self-esteem, team work and so much more.
Now, that's a product I can get behind.
*Disclosure: I hate that I even have to write this. This is not a paid or sponsored post, I didn't receive any free product, my family and I just love Legos. And I wanted to write about it. Period.
