Muffin Tin Monday

Clockwise from left to right: Grated cheese (freshly so, because that's my daughters favorite), cubed chicken breast, cheezits, dried peaches and raisins, baby carrots, red licorice.

This weeks tin, had it had a theme would have been "Scrounge". As in, go scrounge around your kitchen and find things to make a tin! I have trouble adding color to the kids diet. I seem to gravitate to the yellow/orange/white color pallette. They love fresh broccoli, but how many times a week can you have that? I think 3 is my limit. We were all out of greens today, so I struggled with nutricious options (at least the licorice is fat free!). Still they ate it all up!

  1. Often I tend to color code the meals. Last night my 14 month old ate bananas, string cheese, potatoes and because I felt guilty about the lack of color, green beans. I like the "scrounge".

  2. My kids love shredded cheese, too - great way to get it to them without a big mess!

  3. Looks great! I haven't seen cheez-it's in awhile, I should look for them. When I was a kid, we used to feed them to my mom's old Chatty Cathy doll... hehe
