Think twice before sending that Starbucks Cup to the recycle bin! The Frappacino variety (preferably in the "tall" size) makes a
great no-spill paint holder. The benefit is of course two-fold in that you are re-using (as in "reduce, reuse, recycle") and you are preventing spills at the same time!

And this wonderful Aha! Use has been tested and verified. In Fact the lip of the lid actually creates a downward slope so the paint slides back towards the bottom. The kids used them tonight and they worked great to keep messes at a minimum!
not tested: the lids ability to pop off with prolonged use.
Well, aren't you clever! What a great little tip. That might be my excuse to go get me a little treat...although I don't drink coffee. Maybe I'll get a strawberry frapuccino!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!!! I have been debating about getting no spill paint cups, but don't really need a whole set since we only use a couple of colors at a time. With my Starbucks gift cards that I received for Christmas - these will be free!! Thanks for the tip!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeletethat is a great idea :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! What great thinking. Taking something useless and making it useful is one of my favorite things in the world! I'm going to share this on my Google Reader so all my bloggy friends can see!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeletegreat idea!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Idea! Wonder how long you could use it before you have to ditch the cup .... I'll have to pass this idea on to the local daycare center - the little ones always want to do what the big kids are doing. Could definitely cut down on the messes.
ReplyDeleteGenius!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, honestly I can't believe this never crossed my mind. Brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!!! :~)
ReplyDeleteClever idea, Michelle! Love it. Great recycle use for Starbucks cups!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm not particpating in your muffin tin thing. It's a little too creative for me...almost borders on crafting, which you know brings on the anxiety attacks. :) J/K
Maybe SOMEday. :)
WOW!! What an awesome idea! This is just another reason for me to go to Starbucks (;
ReplyDeleteSo simple. So smart. I will definitely be using this as a gift idea: paints, brushes and the no-spill cups. Now I can justify having Starbucks in my near future.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to add this to my green ideas list on my blog and link to you. Awesome!

Well if I have to Starbucks to provide my children with some recycled paint cups, then I have to go to Starbucks. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. :) Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is very clever! One of those, "Of course! These are perfect for that!" sort of moments.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I don't do starbucks but I know plenty of people who do. Thanks for the idea! Love your site!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with that frapaccino cup! We used to use these to catch bugs and made home made magnifying glasses with them.
ReplyDeleteLove it :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess the cardboard carry tray would be good as a stabiliser so they don't fall over :-)
best.idea.ever.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteAmazing and excellent idea. Will definitely be using this one!

I love this idea and am now featuring it today on Fabulous Finds Friday. I am also your newest follower and would love a follow back.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea! Those cups (from Panera, too) are always turning up in recycling bins.
ReplyDeleteI linked to this article in my big list of ways to reuse things!
Will the paint stay fresh if you save it for another day? Have you tested how long it stays good? Looks like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWell isn't that just a little bit on the too cool side.
ReplyDeleteI actually work at Starbucks and the kids ability to stay on when knocked over is something I Have tested (I'm a dork I know lol) as long as you aren't taking it off every time you use it the lid should stay tight for a few weeks!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative idea! Just posted on Chicago Toy & Game Fair's FB page! Thanks Michelle
