I am not a morning person. At. All. So this morning treat is the perfect solution for me when I am either half awake or in a hurry and need a fast "sure-thing" breakfast. It's also something older children can make for themselves
How to Make Tortilla Toast: Slather one tortilla (corn or flour) with butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar. ROll up (as shown) for a perfect handy morning breakfast. Add a half a banana or other fruit if your kiddos are still hungry!
My mom used to make these for me when I was a kid, I still love them!
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteWe're often on the go in the morning, so this would be perfect for the car ride!
ReplyDeleteSimple but delicious! I really love your blog and all your muffin tin ideas. I am working on helping my daughter understand her senses and I am trying to do that through hands on food projects like these. Keep the ideas coming, they are excellent!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! I will have to try this one for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment and the link to the great idea. I love your muffin tin stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun idea! My great aunt used to make us sugar "toast"...a slice of white bread slathered with butter and a generous sprinkling of white sugar.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to use this little idea later in the week! And I love your ideas for lunches...I need all the help I can get in having something creative and that the kids will eat in their lunches for school (and that doesn't have to be heated).
