This is the "Go-To" box. I keep it in the car and have it handy for those times when the kids need to be occupied quietly (or semi-quietly) when we are out. I only let them play with it when we are out, so it keeps it's special-ness. I purchased this two-tiered "snap box" at Wal-mart. I like that it has a handle and the two tiers seperate the princesses from the dinos! Any little bag or box will work. This is also a great option for airplane rides. Having this "Go-To" option really helps curb boredom, the wiggles, and the ever dreaded ants in the pants. :)
If you are curious what's inside:

ReplyDeletethey are great!!!!
We have a similar one, but it's a one-tier box with a lid. I love the two-tier one!
ReplyDeleteWe also keep several large zip top bags filled for the times my 2yo comes with us to soccer or karate for my 6 yo - a look-and-find book, paper with crayons and stickers, small toys, etc. When we're heading out the door I just grab one!
Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteGenius idea!! Especially it being two-tiered (boy & girl stuff). I was just thinking the other day as I was cleaning out the car that I needed something to keep in there to have for entertainment purposes. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the overload of comments from me today. It's been awhile since I've been able to visit some of my blogging buddies. :)
Very smart! We use a similar container for our car trips to Dallas! I wonder if they have 3 tiered ones! haha
ReplyDeleteWe substituted the crayons for colored pencils that won't melt into the seats during the hot summer months.
ReplyDeleteAs our kids have aged, we now carry a full line of school supplies so they can work on homework while we're motoring between places.
Great idea!!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Do you rotate the items? I have a bag of books, coloring books with markers and crayons in my van. I should add small toys, too. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I need one of these for the car.
