A friend of mine is having a baby in the next two weeks and I wanted to get her a gift that was personal and practical. So I filled a small container with a few of my favorite baby things and decorated it "a la Make and Takes". Her Nursery colors are pink and brown. I had something similar to this that I kept in the family room so I wasn't always running to the bedroom for diapers and such. You can find the container at Wal-mart...
Here is a listing of what's inside:
~Huggies Newborn Diapers (they fit girls great and have a little cutout for the umbilocal cord).
~Little Tummies Gas Drops (Helped to ease my daughters colic)
~Burts Bees Baby Wash (BPA, Phalate, and PVC free)
~Bordeaux's Butt Paste (Hands down, the best diaper rash ointment, ever and believe me, I've tried them all!)
~Huggies Wipes with Shea Butter (Travel size - I love the smell and they made changing dirty diapers a little more bearable)
This is a great idea! I kept something similar in the car for emergencies.
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea! it is cute and functional!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you wove the ribbon through the mini crate. It really dresses it up cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I love it & I bet your friend will too. =)
ReplyDeletebutt paste is my favorite too. and the only thing that works for us!!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, my best friend is do in two months I just filled a Lands End bag with all of my favorites from when Maddie was little. I know the diaper bag is customary but we hardly used ours I was a much bigger fan of the big canvas tote which we still use every day!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how different creams work for different people, Beaudreax's didn't work for us, but Dr. Wilson's did.
ReplyDeleteI give a similar present when friends are having their first. I give some big receiving blankets, some burp rags that match, and some bowls and spoons for when the baby first starts eating solids.
what a great idea!!! I love it! I have a friend who is pg, not due for a while yet, but I am so going to do this. it's personal and so very thoughtful! love it!
