I took the tutorial for the
kid's handmade tea light votive I posted last week and made a grown-up version. I used stickers the create the lettering. Painted over the whole thing, peeled off the stickers, let it dry and slathered on some Mod Podge.
Came out well I think... :)
Love it!
ReplyDeleteThose look GREAT!!! What a good idea. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThey are totally awesome! Will definately try do make some for Christmas gifts! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Great idea and very frugal!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love!
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI need some help...I tried these today and some of the paint got under the stickers or the stickers peeled off some of the surrounding paint. Any tips? I am rereading it and wonder if I should peal the stickers before I let the paint dry. I really want to make these. I even went to goodwill to get some glasses. I hope to post on my blog when/if it works. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteIt worked better taking the stickers off before the paint dried. BUT...I went to put the modge podge on and it wiped my paint off. I thought the paint was dry. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just not modge podging the others and cross my fingers the person doesn't wash them!!
ReplyDeleteyou definitely want to go lighlty with both the paint and and the mod podge.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't leave off the mod podge, but I guess just let the person you are gifting these to, to not wash them. ever. :)
